The Clemson Intercollegiate Eventing Team was founded in 2004 by Laurie (Brown) Mays and Tanya (Bruce) Thomas. The team is proud of the many fundraisers they run throughout the year that allow team members the opportunities to participate in clinics, have decreased show rates, as well as a team trip to the Kentucky Three-Day Event. Clemson has a barn for their IHSA team, but the eventing team trains with a variety of trainers in Clemson, Aiken, and Tryon. The Otterbein University Team is based out of Westerville, Ohio. It has roughly fifteen members with riders ranging from those who have never evented to Modified. The team has continued to grow over the years and many Alumni have gone on to do great things.
