Infrastructure
2011 witnessed the start of construction of our first cross-country course. We were advised by Mark Phillips that we should provide irrigation. As a result, we drilled five wells, which collectively produce 250 gallons per minute, distributed over a mile of underground pipes, to run a K-Line portable irrigation system.
Course Construction
Eric Bull (ETB Construction) has built all of the cross country course jumps both fixed and portable. Mark and Eric, have built many interesting and challenging courses in different parts of the US including WEG (at Tryon), The Fork, Carolina Horse Park, Central Park and Fitch’s Corner. In 2017 we created a complimentary cross country course to be used for the Eventing Academy. Completed towards the end of that year the first time it was used was for the Eventing Academy in February 2018. There are two Connectors joining the two courses.
Course Design
Upper level Cross-country courses are designed by Captain Mark Phillips. Lower level and Eventing Academy Courses are designed by Mogie Bearden-Muller.
Both courses are irrigated and well drained.
